Integration of jalbum in wordpress

This article has been updated and thw new version can be found on this link

As I’ve been searching for a way to do this for a while and found out that other people have trouble with it too I’m gonna write this in english to share what I found out.

It seems that once there was a plugin for integrating jalbum in wordpress but the project has been abandoned.

But looking through some forums I found out that there is a way, it may not be the most sophisticated but it works untill I figure out a better way. So here goes…

It’s actually pretty simple, it works kinda like an iframe.

When posting your gallery wether in a post or a page go to the HTML tab of the editing page and put in the following code:

<object data=”http://fullUTLtoYourJalbumIndex” width=”600″ height=”2500″ id=”gallery” name=”gallery” class=”object1″>  Your browser could not include this object </object>

Width should of course be set to the width of your blog. Height I’ve set to 2500 just to make sure there’s always enough room. The height really is the only drawback to this method, apart from that it works great. Now you just have to customize your jalbum to fit the page unless you want scrollbars within your post.

Any questions? Then feel free to ask, but please keep questions in english or danish :D

Oh and here’s how the end result looks

Nice tip! How would you like a Jalbum plug-in for WordPress to work? We’re planning on building one. Have you tried the Jalbum blog badge for WordPress?

    Thanks,
