To some this will sound like the simplest thing ever and for others it will probably sound a bit advanced, but I assure you that it’s really not. So here’s what you do if you want to integrate jalbum as a page in wordpress.

You have to make a custom page file (this is the part that might sound a bit advanced to some users, but just do as instructed and it should be quite easy).

Create a new textfile, and insert the following text in it:

*/ ?>
<?php get_header(); ?>

<center> <object data=”http://jalbum.url/index.html” width=”600″ height=”2500″ id=”gallery” name=”gallery”>  Your browser could not include this object </object> </center>

<?php get_footer(); ?>

You of course have to put in the correct URL for your jalbum files instead of jalbum.url.  Save this file as photoalbum.php in yourwordpress theme folder.

Now go to your wordpress control panel, and create a new page, now you should be able to select photoalbums as template for your page, select this and just give the page the headline photoalbumspublish it and you’re done.

The end result should work something like this

And if you still want to have a sidebar on the page just insert the followin as the secondlast line in yourphotoalbums file:
<?php get_sidebar(); ?>

Endvidere har jeg lavet nogle ændringer i designet af siden, omend den eneste man som læser nok vil bemærke er den smånarcisistiske baggrund der er kommet til, den gamle var sgu så kedelig.

Flere designændringer er på vej, tror bla. jeg vil fjerne den kæmpe videoboks i toppen, ihvertfald indtil jeg får taget mig sammen til at videblogge igen, og istedet lave en side specielt til den ligesom jeg har lavet til mine fotoalbums. Og den vil så blive erstattet med nogle knapper der kan føre til sidens forskellige sektioner, fotoalbum linket oppe i højre hjørne gør jo ikke just meget væsen af sig selv så det fortjener en knap.

It seems that once there was a plugin for integrating jalbum in wordpress but the project has been abandoned.

But looking through some forums I found out that there is a way, it may not be the most sophisticated but it works untill I figure out a better way. So here goes…

It’s actually pretty simple, it works kinda like an iframe.

When posting your gallery wether in a post or a page go to the HTML tab of the editing page and put in the following code:

<object data=”http://fullUTLtoYourJalbumIndex” width=”600″ height=”2500″ id=”gallery” name=”gallery” class=”object1″>  Your browser could not include this object </object>

Width should of course be set to the width of your blog. Height I’ve set to 2500 just to make sure there’s always enough room. The height really is the only drawback to this method, apart from that it works great. Now you just have to customize your jalbum to fit the page unless you want scrollbars within your post.
